Did you know Santa's around the world may look familiar?

Santa Claus may look familiar, but around the world he goes by many names and traditions. In Finland, Santa is known as Joulupukki and is said to live in Lapland. In France, children await Père Noël, while in Spain, gifts often arrive from the Three Kings in early January.

In parts of Europe and Latin America, children don’t hang stockings — they leave their shoes by the door, hoping they’ll be filled with treats overnight. In the Netherlands, Sinterklaas arrives by boat in late November.

Santa’s modern image evolved over time. His red suit became popular in the 19th century through illustrations and advertising.

No matter the name or outfit, Santa represents generosity, kindness, and the magic of childhood.
