Emery Village BIA Executive Director’s message
Dear Emery,
It has been a hot month and I am definitely not complaining, especially because the beautiful weather means the Emery Village BIA team is fully prepped and incredibly excited for our upcoming Movie in the Park Night on Friday, June 26th.
It is going to be a fantastic evening under the stars, so I encourage you all to grab your blankets and lawn chairs to come join your neighbors for a wonderful community night out where we will have some incredible vendors and fun activities planned.
Leading up to the big night, I also want to wish a very Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads, grandfathers, and father figures in Emery Village, and remind everyone to keep an eye out for special deals and promotions happening across our neighborhood businesses so we can celebrate them while showing our local shops some love.
June is also a time of major milestones, and I want to send a huge congratulations to all of our local graduates as they finish the school year and take their next big steps. With school wrapping up and the summer break on the way, please remember that kids will be out running around, playing, and cycling a lot more, so I urge all drivers in the area to stay extra alert and practice safe driving through our neighbourhoods.
Enjoying this great weather also means taking good care of yourself, so please remember to apply sunscreen regularly, stay hydrated, and protect yourself while spending time outdoors.
Finally, if you are looking for ways to keep the kids engaged and active over the coming weeks, the City of Toronto is offering a wide variety of summer recreation programs that provide a fantastic opportunity to learn a new skill and make friends, so be sure to check out their website and sign up soon.
